My name is Tom, I am from Bristol in England. I have been living in Vienna for over fourteen years. I have a bachelors degree in Psychology and I am a Cambridge qualified teacher (CELTA).

 

In England I worked as a learning support assistant in a secondary school. 

 

In Vienna, I worked for the Bildungsdirektion für Wien for three years before taking a job as a native speaker teacher at Piaristengasse VS 1080. I am still there and very happy :) 

 

While working as a native speaker teacher, I have always run my own after school English courses in primary schools, offered private English tutoring, and run my own summer holiday camps.

 

During my time as an English teacher I have developed my skills and teaching style. I believe that for children, the most important aspect of learning a foreign language, is that they enjoy it! 

I plan my lessons according to that principle. 

I very much enjoy teaching, I am very sporty and I like music, breakdance, skydiving and reading. 

I have two children of my own.
